To grasp what features was the most important to highligt in a website for a bike shop I created a user survey and published on my Facebook and LinkedIn page. After results from 40 people I ranked which was the most important features to include, and from there I decided in which order different parts were to be displayed.
The website features two differnt pages. One main page, and on for the workshop. Since the workshop in the most central part among their services I wanted to give this part the second page I was allowed to use.
The main page consists of diffenrent sections. First a welcoming section, then a navigation section with links to the main services (Workshop, Shop and Tailor). Below that is an about section and lastly a contact section with phone numbers, links to their facebook page and Google Maps location.
The workshop page starts with a summary page of the what Walis Cykel offers in the workshop, followed by a service list with prices for the most common services. Lastly there is a contact section on how to book a service.
The website consists of different features for usability. The theme has a welcoming green/turquoise palette with black and white photos to get a sense of uniformity to the website. In the news page and the service list there are animated boxes that can be opened to display more information. This gives the users a better overview and a possibility to easily gain more information about the specific service/news page they want.
