Graphic Design

A new way to express my creativity
When UX design caught my interest a year ago, the first thing I did was to learn Figma, a vector graphic design software. Earlier I had been using Inkscape and a little of Adobe Illustrator, but with Figma I learned most functions, to be able to let my creativity flow. This opened a new door of art for me.

BrinkBröderna

A friend of mine contacted me to create a new logo for his new company he started with his brother. They offer a combination of IT solutions and craftmanship. To make the brand stand out I make the logo reflect both of  their two odd business, I implemented an at-sign to represent the IT-part, a shift key to represent the craftmanship, and gear wheel to tie the both businesses and the general problem solving together. I did this in a playful way by integrating the symbols into appropriate letters of the company name.

Self Portrait

I wanted to create a portrait of myself that looked animated and realistic at the same time. Quite soon I realized the difficulties to get all the subtle shadows right compared to a picture in profile. Another big challenge was my light skin and hairtones. They gave me little contrasts to work with, which forced me to fine tune all nuances alot.

Mt Kazbek

2018 me and two friends visited Georgia, an amazing country in the middle of the Caucasus mountains. One of the highest peaks in the Caucasus, and also in all of Europe, is Mt Kazbek. It is located on the georgian russian border 5033m avove sea level. We went to Stepantsminda, the closest village, for two days to view this spectacular mountain in real life.  We didn't hike all the way up Mt Kazbek, but  to the Gergeti Trinity Church located on 2170m, also seen in the picture. The view from there was the most amazing I have experienced in my entire life, so I decided to make an animated version of it.

Dad

This is my dad. He unfortunately passed away recently, and for his funeral to honor him I wanted to make a personal and special program sheet,  that reflected who he was. He had many interests, but one of the things he loved the most was the sea. To swim, to sail and to sunbathe at our summer house on the swedish west coast. Therefore made this portrait of him.

Pierre

This is my friend and collegue Pierre. One day, right after he got a new haircut from my barbershop, he uploaded a new profile picture at work. I saw potential in the picture and wanted to do something more with it, so i screen shotted it and then started this art project.

Darwin

This is Darwin, my little sisters dog, a Gordon Setter.
She loves him more than anything else on this earth, so for christmas I decided to create a personal gift. I took a picture of him and created this graphic art. Then I ordered this print on a sweatshirt and gave it to her. When she opened the gift she started crying.

Fade Haircut

This is my first face created in Figma. Due to my interest in barbering I of course wanted to try out and play with the color gradients to create the popular fade haircut.
